Australia’s fastest competitor around the Mountain Course, David “Davo” Johnson confirmed yesterday that he would be competing in the Royal London 360 Quantum Superstock race at TT 2017, on board the Fleetwood Grab Services S1000RR BMW.
At TT 2016, piloting the same machine, he wrapped up an extremely creditable ninth place finish, finishing last years Superstock TT with an average race speed of 125.434 mph.
Confident of contending for a standout result in June, Davo has the proven credentials to secure a maiden TT podium finish.
Experienced on BMW machinery at the TT Races, it would not be a surprise at all to see him finish in front of many a star name in the four lap race.
Linking up with fellow Australian Josh Brookes at Norton, for the RST Superbike and Pokerstars Senior races, they will form without a doubt one of the strongest rider line up’s at TT 2017.
It’s not known at present, as to whether the lightning fast Aussie will be participating in the Monster Energy Supersport encounters.
Regarded amongst the highest echelon of current TT competitors, David Johnson’s latest voyage to the famous Manx roads, could well prove his most successful and prodigious to date.
