Cookstown Preview Series Part 4 – Moto 3/Supersport 300/Classic Races
Road Racing News preview series about the 100th Anniversary Cookstown 100 meeting, concludes today with a focus upon the 125/Moto 3/Supersport 300, Junior Classic, Senior Classic races.

125/Moto 3/Supersport 300:

The 17 strong 125/Moto 3/Supersport 300 field is certain to provide intriguing, captivating competition.

Pre-race favourite is arguably BE Racing In Conjunction with Richardson Kelly Racing’s Michael Browne.

Utterly dominant in last year’s class encounter, Browne illustrated in full that he’s not just an improving 600cc, 1000cc machinery exponent.

Aside from Browne, others with podium finishing aspirations will include the highly respected Nigel Moore and Germany’s Chris Meyer whilst Supersport 300 mounted racers to monitor closely, include:

Trison McMullan supported Darryl Tweed, Linton Irwin, Mark Johnson and 21st Century Irish roads great Barry Davidson.

Junior Classic/Senior Classic:

Yesteryear racing powers ready to contend for McKinstry Skip Hire Junior Classic, Skegness Raceway Senior Classic honours include the above showcased Barry Davidson.

Eighth on the all-time Irish road race winners list, three times Manx GP victor Davidson is true road racing royalty.

Anticipated to be in prime contention again for Classics victories, his machinery line-up for his latest Cookstown expedition are the 350 Dempster, Gary Hutton Honda steeds.

Outside of Davidson, others expected to battle for podiums include Richard Ford, Mark Johnson, Philip Shaw, Robert McCrum, Nigel Moore and current Irish Road Race Junior 250 Classics Champion Brian Mateer.

Additional notable entrants include Wattie Brown, Leon Murphy, Sam Kinkead, Andy Hornby, Freddie Stewart and 500cc Manx Norton pilots John Leigh Pemberton, Mark Parrett.
