Road Racing News preview series about the 100th Anniversary Cookstown 100 meeting, focuses today upon the Senior Support, Junior Support classes that continuously produce leading next generation roads talents.
Senior Support:
The Super Seal Windows Castledawson supported Senior Support class has an impressive 39 strong entry, with the bulk of entrants 600cc machinery mounted.
One to watch will include last year’s class winner Keelim Ryan, brother of PreZ Racing’s Paul Jordan, Gary Jordan, McGee Racing’s Noel Smith, 232 plate holder Jack Oliver.
Patch Racing’s Davy Graham, Eoin O’Siochru, Niall Power, John Cahill, seasoned Manx GP pilot Kevin Barsby, Czech star Veronika Hankocyova, Tommy Heaphy and the Isle of Wight’s all action roads exponent Ryan Whitehall.
Orritor Circuit newcomers to closely monitor include ‘Tommy Club’ member Dan Ingham, American visitor Samuel Gluss, Oliver’s Mount Scarborough regular Kieran Brockie.
Set to next month make his TT Races debut, many will be monitoring the progress of former National Superstock 600 front runner Milo Ward.
Leading the DP Coldplaning/TC Racing challenge at TT 2022, it’s going to be intriguing to see how quickly he adapts to the unique challenges that Irish road racing provides.
Junior Support:
250’s, 400’s, Super Mono’s, Super Twins are all set to feature within the JMB Coaches/Bill Eastwood Contracts Junior Support class.
Although it’s pretty tough to predict who will emerge victorious this week, competitors to keep an eye on include the aforementioned John Cahill, Eoin O’Siochru, Tommy Heaphy, Ryan Whitehall, Veronika Hankocyova.
Further depth to the entry is provided by competitors including racing veteran Vic Allan, Aiden Cleary, Germany’s Chris Meyer, Pobsport Racing’s Paul Daley, Brian Loughlin, NAB Racing’s Steven Morrison.
Newcomers amongst the 40-plus entry list include Kramer Motorcycles mounted Ivo Ladde, Aberdare Park great Jay Bellers Smith, Jack Petrie, Jonathan Watt and Italian Enrico Rocchi.
