Chimay Road Races – IRRC Races Round Up

Top quality racing was seen throughout in IRRC supersport, superbike races at the Chimay Road Races.

Opening IRRC superbike race saw championship leader Sebastien Le Grelle, produce a top class all round performance as he secured race victory.

Vincent Lonbois finished in second position just 0.288 behind, whilst Marc Fissette showed his proven quality in clinching third place finish.

Didier Grams showed strong form in finishing in fourth position, as Johan Fredriks sealed highly creditable fifth place finish.

David Drieghe, Timothy Baken, Jochem Van Den Hoek, Matti Seidel, 2012 newcomers A Manx Grand Prix winner Kamil Holan rounded out the top ten finishers.

IRRC superbike race two saw four times international road racing championship winner Didier Grams, victorious.

S1000RR BMW mounted Didier proved why he is regarded amongst Europe’s leading pure road racers.

David Drieghe impressed hugely as he finished in second place, Timothy Baken completed the top three finishers.

Further standout performances included Jochem Van Den Hoek finishing in seventh place, Kamil Holan securing ninth place finish, Matti Seidel finishing a highly creditable tenth.

IRRC supersport races would see championship leader Marek Cerveny victorious in opening race, Joey Den Besten finished in second place, Laurent Hoffmann was in impressive form as he secured third place finish.

Race two saw wet conditions, despite the challenging conditions world class racing was seen, as Laurent Hoffmann recorded a comfortable race victory by 8.818 seconds over impressive second place finisher Chris Nobel.

Kevin De Frenne finalised the top three finishers, whilst championship leader Marek Cerveny battled his way to seventh place finish.

Next round of the 2015 international road racing championship, takes place at the Horice Road Races in Czech Republic, on the 22nd, 23rd of August.

Sebastien Le Grelle, Marek Cerveny will both be bidding to continue their forward momentum, as they home in on IRRC superbike, supersport championship victories.
