Belgium’s equivalent of the rapidly growing in popularity, Classic TT Races on the Mountain Course, takes place each year at Gedinne located within Namur.
The roads circuit, which hosts the Belgian Classic TT, has 22 curves, a 200 metre straight, plus takes in great scenery.
Reminiscent in my opinion, in parts of England’s only pure road racing circuit, Oliver’s Mount, Gedinne has become a huge favourite with many a classic racing specialist.
Highly touted classic roads exponents, who ventured over to Belgium for last years meeting, included Rich Hawkins winner of the 350 race, Sam Kinkead, Jamie O’Brien, Richard Ford, Ewan Hamilton, Keith Shannon, Gerry O’Sullivan and Terry Kermode.
British Sidecar stars to compete included Vince Briggs and Eddie Wright, in his customary orange liveried outfit.

The 2016 Belgian Classic TT, saw overall 11 races take place. A wide ranging diverse amount of different machines competed, at a glance there was 50 cc steads, 250’s, 350’s, 500’s, and Post Classic mounts.
Regularly securing a large entry list, expect more of the same this year at an event, which year on year has grown in prominence.
Now established amongst continental Europe’s most famous roads events, the 2017 meeting, scheduled to take place on the 18th to the 20th of August, is guaranteed to attract many an elite classic racing name.
