64th La Baneza Grand Prix Summary

Spain’s pure road racing crème de la crème, the La Baneza Grand Prix nearing 75 years since its’ first edition, thoroughly entertained again across last weekend.

Twelve plus marques had representation including historic names like Sanglas, Aermacchi, Morini, Bultaco, Ossa, Cagiva and Montesa.

Race winners wise, conquerors per category, were the following:

146 plate-holder Angel Outerelo Dominguez (125), Miguel Angel Fernandez (Moto 3), Bruno Capin Garcia (Euro Twins – 650).

Carlos Gonzalez Cabeza (Euro Twins – 500), Sergio Fuertes Fernandez (Classic Two Strokes), Oscar Cores Moldes (Classic Four Strokes – 350) and Juan Francisco Garcia Vasquez (Classic Four Strokes – 500).

Ulster Road Race 125/Moto 3 Champion, Chris Meyer was also competing.

Meyer victorious last month at Armoy, accrued series of top 20 finishes, placed thirteenth in the feature encounter, the 15-lap 125/Moto 3 race held in sweltering, humid conditions with temperatures rising past 35 degrees.
