This years Barry Sheene road race festival at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough has an entry that combines classic bikes and modern day racing bikes. The road race meeting takes place over the weekend for a full two days of racing.
Amongst the entries for the modern day classes in the 600 and over class include James Coward on the RJP racing and Barnes racing bikes. James fresh from two top 20 finishes at the Isle of Man TT will be confident of taking wins in the 600 races at Oliver’s Mount during the Barry Sheene road race festival.
Also entered in the modern day classes include Manx grand prix newcomers this year Tom Weeden, Jake Robertson and Michael Hand. Both Tom and Jake are competing on Triumph machinery in the 600 and over class, both will be looking to secure solid results.
Top 10 finisher in the super-twin and second supersport race at the North West 200 this year, James Cowton is having a good road racing season and will be looking to continue this form at the Barry Sheene road race festival. James is set to compete on Honda machinery in the 600 and over class, plus James is an entrant in the mini-twins class competing on a ER6 Kawasaki run by the KMR Kawasaki powered by Vauxhall team.
Having recorded two top 30 finishes in the two supersport TT races at this years Isle of Man TT, Phil Harvey is on top form and is entered in the 600 and over races at Oliver’s Mount this weekend.
Seasoned Manx grand prix competitors Scott Campbell and Mike Minns will both be aiming for top results at the Barry Sheene road race festival. Scott and Mike are set to compete on Yamaha machinery in the 600 and over class.
Oliver’s Mount specialists Keith Pringle and Mick Goodings are riders more than capable of taking race wins at Oliver’s Mount this weekend, whilst one of the standout entries for the classic races is from Guy Martin who is set to compete on Suzuki machinery.
