All Italian Combination Continues For TT 2017

One of the most illuminating rider/manufacturer combinations at TT 2016, was that of Italy’s quickest competitor around the Mountain Course Stefano Bonetti, and one of the most famous names in motorcycling, Paton.

Stefano’s fifth place finish in this years Lightweight TT, was an extremely popular and well received result.

For TT 2017 the Italian TT stalwart is set to pilot a high spec Paton, in the Lightweight race.

In amongst a statement issued on the 6th of November, SC-Project who are set to run Stefano at TT 2017, stated that they have expectations, for next years TT Races, Via their Facebook page, they said:

“SC-Project with Roberto Pattoni, son of the founder of the brand in the 1958, Giuseppe Pattoni, and the Paton crew are strongly focused to bring the brand to the highest levels of the past.

In 2017 the Paton Reparto Corse will seek victory at the TT Tourist Trophy of the mythological Isle of Man with Italian rider Stefano Bonetti, European champion of races of speed uphill.”

When you hear the name Paton, you think great sounds, historical races and the iconic green colour scheme.

More known for many at present on the roads, for their strong form at the Classic TT, their podium contending presence at TT 2016, was proof that the iconic brand is gradually getting back to the higher echelons of years gone by, at the Isle of Man TT.
