Just three racers are in the running for Supersport 300 P1 spoils, Scarborough’s William Grant, Mark Johnson and Northwest 200, Ulster Grand Prix podium finisher Joe Loughlin.
Junior Classic/Senior Classic/Unlimited Pre73:
Once again, a selection of Irish road racing’s leading yesteryear craftsmen, take to Cookstown, including:
The legendary Barry Davidson (Team Gimbert), Nigel Moore, Richard Ford, Philip Shaw, Andy Hornby.
Wattie Brown, 2024 Junior Classics Manx Grand Prix third place finisher Mark Johnson, Robert McCrum, Linton Irwin, Gearoid Hoare, Terence Sansom, Andy Kildea, and Gary Hutton.
Rathkeale’s James Chawke, the 2018 Junior Manx Grand Prix also competes, with 750cc Honda tackle in the Unlimited Pre73 Classic category.
Classic Superbike:
Following last year’s first-class expedition, the bulky, powerful yesteryear Superbike’s return with added vigour.
Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Ducati all have representation whilst start numbers total twenty.
Prominent confirmed entrants include Darryl Tweed (Stanley Stewart Racing by Novogen – Yamaha), Marcus Simpson (Duckshaw Racing Kawasaki), Isle of Wight ace Ryan Whitehall.
Steve Henshaw Gold Cup podium finisher Don Gilbert, Neil Kernohan, cousin of Sidecar racing hero Jock Taylor, Roddy Taylor.
Graham McAleese, Dennis Booth, Andy Hornby, Richard Ford, Lee Osprey, and triple seven plate occupier, Neil Rutledge.
