2015 International Road Racing Championship Entry List Announced

The entry list for the 2015 international road racing championship has been announced.

IRRC supersport class sees Joey Den Besten bidding to retain the title. Joey is this season competing for the performance racing achterhoek racing team on a R6 Yamaha.

Runner up in championship last year Marek Cerveny is tipped by many to secure championship victory in 2015.

Marek is for this year’s championship competing on Intermoto backed ZX6R Kawasaki, 2015 is also set to see the talented rider from the Czech Republic make his Macau Grand Prix debut.

Honda is represented strongly by the likes of Dennis Hoffer planning to make his Manx Grand Prix debut this year, Sammy De Caluwe, Andy Junghans and Patrick Andersson.

Another rider who is Honda mounted for IRRC supersport in 2015 is Tuukka Korhonen. Tuukka 16th place finisher in 2014 lightweight TT is greatly looking forward to this season as he aims to record top quality results.

Former champion Laurent Hofmann, Wolfgang Schuster and Marc Bornhausser all have the drive and determination to be pushing for podium finishes as does Luca Gottardi.

Luca is regarded by many to be one of Italy’s fastest rising pure road racing stars, he is set to compete on Mc Egna – PnL racing backed R6 Yamaha in 2015.

With an entry list of 28 riders plus anticipated wild cards the 2015 international road racing supersport championship is set to produce close, competitive, thrilling, exciting, pulsating and memorable pure road racing action.

Four times IRRC champion Didier Grams bids to make it five titles in total this year. Once again competing on BMW machinery the hugely talented rider will be hard to beat at all IRRC meetings in 2015.

Set to lead the challenge to Didier is runner up in IRRC superbike class last year Johan Fredriks. Johan impressed hugely in 2014 as he battled throughout for championship glory, he is all set to compete on Tovami backed S1000RR BMW.

Matti Seidel was amongst the most improved riders in IRRC in 2014, like many riders this year he is competing on BMW machinery for his own team with backing from Penz 13.com BMW.

Reigning Czech road racing superbike champion Ales Nechvatal, Franck Petricola, Pavel Tomecek, and Jochem Van Den Hoek could all spring a surprise or two during this season as could the returning Branko Srdanov.

Branko’s return to pure road racing action will be watched closely by many. As in his championship winning year of 2012 he is competing for his own B&R racing team on a top spec S1000RR BMW.

BMW Motorrad Czech Republic are backing Kamil Holan for the 2015 road racing season. The 2012 newcomers A Manx Grand Prix winner has all the components to push for podium finishes at all meetings in 2015.

Seasoned competitors Thomas Gottschalk, Rob Van Eijs, Frank Bakker, Timothy Baken, Thilo Gunther and David Drieghe add further quality to a top class line up.

Marc Fissette is known to many road racing fans across the world as the rider who was involved in a great race with the legend that is Joey Dunlop in 250 race at the 1997 Ulster Grand Prix.

For IRRC this year Marc is set to be one of the leading Suzuki mounted riders whilst return to the Macau Grand Prix looks also on the cards.

Aprilia and Ducati are represented by Thomas Wendel, Lambert Berrewaerts and Daniel Plank whilst Greece’s Foti Psomadakis looks set to be amongst the leading CBR 1000 Honda Fireblade mounted competitors.

With under forty days to go till round one at Hengelo excitement is building for all IRRC competitors. A further exciting element of IRRC in 2015 will be at the Frohburg road races.

The popular meeting in Germany is set to see the Penz 13.com Bathams by BMW Motorrad team run four times TT winner Michael Rutter, fourth place finisher in 2014 Ulster Grand Prix superstock race Stephen Thompson and top 20 finisher at last year’s Macau Grand Prix Dan Kruger.

In all its set to be a scintillating 2015 international road racing championship which will see IRRC champions, rising stars, up and coming road racers all doing battle.
