Former World Supersport front runner Sheridan Morais and 2002 European Superstock Champion Vittorio Iannuzzo are both set to make their pure road racing debut’s next week at Frohburg, sampling the final rounds of the 2019 IRRC Supersport Championship.
Morais and Iannuzzo who are respectively competing on YZF R6 Yamaha, MV Agusta machinery at Frohburg, in their distinguished careers have competed against a who’s who of motorcycle racing, both boast high calibre racing CV’s.
Former factory Kawasaki, Triumph racers, between them they have competed in the World Superbike Championship, Endurance World Championship, British Superbike Championship and the Moto2 World Championship.
It’s going to be intriguing to see how they adapt not only to Frohburg but also how they adapt to a form of racing they haven’t competed in before, pure, non distilled real road racing.
Given the level that they have raced at throughout the past two decades, it wouldn’t at all be a surprise if they enjoy immensely productive maiden roads voyages at Frohburger Dreieck, which will see them compete against the likes of IRRC Supersport Champion elect Matthieu Lagrive and Belgian roads legend Laurent Hoffmann.
