Alasdair Cowan’s Team ACR squad have confirmed that works Honda racer for TT 2019, David Johnson will join Craig Neve within the Scottish outfit, for participation in this years four lap yesteryear Superbike Classic TT race.
Third in last August’s feature Ulster GP Superbike race, Adelaide’s Johnson has enjoyed countless great moments on the roads in recent seasons.
Part of a select group of racers to have lapped the mythical, fabled Mountain Course at over the 131 mph lap mark, his TT CV includes three top four finishes, four top six finishes and overall 14 top ten finishes.
Outside of TT competition, he’s also impressed and some aboard the Team York Suzuki at the Classic TT, claiming series of top five finishes, including in 2017 leading Suzuki’s challenge within the yesteryear Superbike class.
Team ACR team owner Alasdair Cowan, who’s team has secured title sponsorship from Robert Burns Ltd, is confident that new signing Johnson and former Manx GP top five finisher Neve, more than have the application, talent, pace to provide the ACR machines with series of first class results.

One of the first teams to unveil their 2019 Classic TT plans, Team ACR as in recent times will run this August and at Thundersport GB events ZXR 750 Kawasaki machinery, which as showcased by Andy Dudgeon’s fourth place finish in last years RST Superbike Classic TT encounter, are more than a touch competitive.
