By Obsession Engineering supported Eric Wilson became on Saturday, the inaugural overall winner of the Tetcate, Baja California located Baja International Tourist Cup.
Yesterday’s sole four lap encounter at the newest International road race worldwide, saw 16 times top forty TT finisher Wilson surge to victory, ending with a finale race finishing time of 20 minutes 20 seconds, on route setting a speediest lap time of 5 minutes 1 second.
Nearest pursuers to racing adventurer, experienced Mountain Course pilot Wilson were California’s Dave Thomas and former solo, Sidecar TT competitor Wade Boyd.
History defines real road racing, motorsport started on public roads in the 1890’s!
The first ever Baja International Tourist Cup is the latest landmark for a sport unlike any other.
In years to come I have no doubt that this event, the brainchild of Pedro A.Vargas Valdez will elevate in stature and potentially attract more esteemed pure road racers like the aforementioned Wilson & Boyd.
