2024 Baja International Tourist Cup Summary

Cool in its nature, there is an easy charm about North America’s newest real road race, the unique Baja International Tourist Cup (course distance – 9.95 miles).

Won previously by TT stalwarts, lap record holder Eric Wilson and Wade Boyd, the fourth event edition was picked up by middleweight category pilot, Randy Bander (17 minutes 40.1 seconds).

P2 behind Bander was fellow Middleweight apparatus entrant, Tank Chest (name registered in results sheet – 18 minutes 03.9 seconds).

Supersport honours, third overall was Bridgette Leber (18 minutes 18.2 seconds) whilst heavyweight, Lightweight, Ultra Lightweight triumphs went respectively to Liz Sands (19 minutes 08.2 seconds), Southern 100 competitor this year Logan Barker (19 minutes 45.7 seconds) and Matt Young (20 minutes 08.0 seconds).

Completing the top ten finishers were Luis Bedartes (20 minutes 14.1 seconds), Bob Brzezinski (22 minutes 24.3 seconds), Baggers class racers Erik Boone (22 minutes 38.9 seconds), Ken Porter (23 minutes 31.5 seconds).

Congratulations again to Pedro A.Vargas Valdez’s team on the latest successful Baja roads showpiece.
