William Dunlop Seals Multiple Top Class Results During Gold Cup

William Dunlop sealed multiple top class results, during the 2015 Scarborough Gold Cup.

Competing for the first time around Oliver’s Mount in two years, the Irish road race supersport champion showed his proven quality, on one of pure road racing’s most iconic circuit’s.

Supersport race 1 opened the Irish road race supersport champion’s gold cup account. Piloting Ivan Curran/CD Racing YZF R6 Yamaha, William finished a highly creditable sixth, following a tenacious and determined display in wet, damp conditions.

Steve Henshaw international gold cup was next up. William recorded ninth place finish, as he finished second supersport 600 mounted rider, in the prestigious race.

Second supersport race saw the recently crowned Irish road race superbike champion, end his 2015 pure road racing season in top class style, with excellent fourth place finish.

Arguably main highlight of the meeting for William was winning the Stu Reed trophy, for been leading 125 mounted competitor in lightweight races, where he secured fifth and fourth place finishes on Justin Waring’s 125 Honda.
