William Dunlop is confident of Supersport success at the international and national road races in 2017, as he pilots again his trusty high spec YZF R6 Yamaha, which retains backing from IC (Ivan Curran) Racing and Caffrey International.
Regarded by many as the leading exponent of 600 machinery on the roads, last year saw him wrap up a second Irish road race Supersport title, following victories at the Tandragee 100, Cookstown 100, Skerries and Armoy.
Alongside his wins within the national roads scene, 2016 also saw him finish runner up in one of the all time great 600 encounters around Dundrod, at the Ulster GP.

Speaking today about his Yamaha stead for this season, William said:
“I am really happy to renew my partnership with Ivan Curran and Caffrey International, both Ivan and Mark have been brilliant support for me over the years and I am confident that we can build upon our previous successes.
It is no secret how much I love riding this bike, and for me personally, being able to tackle the 2017 season on a machine that I am confident can win and I am familiar riding makes me really keen to get out and race now.”
He added:
“The boys have put together a great package, once again, prepared by KME Engineering. We have really strong engines, and I know that I have one of the most competitive bikes on the grid”
There is also some exciting news for fans of the 2015 Duke Road Race Rankings champion.
“As a thanks to all my supporters for the 2017 season ahead, I am proud to announce a special edition collaboration with my leather sponsors, 4SR.
We are releasing a limited number of personally designed DUNL6P t-shirts, which are available to purchase from my website now in sizes medium and large. (it should be noted however that these shirts are really small fitting and it is advisable to size up)”
