Derek Sheils secured victory in open race at Walderstown road races, following a fantastic all round performance on BikeBitsNI Racing ZX10R Kawasaki.
The 2013 Irish road race superbike champion held off strong challenges from Derek Mcgee in second place, and in third place Tyco BMW’s William Dunlop.
The top three finishers where covered by only 3.163 seconds following a thrilling start to race day action around Walderstown.

John Walsh finished a fine fifth whilst CBR 1000 Honda Fireblade mounted Brian Mccormack rounded out the top six.
Recent opening supersport race winner at Southern 100, Seamus Elliott recorded seventh place finish.
2014 Irish road race super twins champion Connor Behan recorded highly creditable eighth, also impressing was rising star Thomas Maxwell who finished in tenth position.
