S1000RR BMW’s finished on top in superbike qualifying, at the Vauxhall International North West 200, as 15 times winner around the Triangle, Alastair Seeley edged out Michael Dunlop, to qualify on pole position for both superbike races.
Alastair following lap speed of 122.343 mph finished just 0.017 of a second quicker, than the 11 times TT winner, following a great duel between the Lee Hardy Racing and Hawk Racing BMW riders.

Michael Rutter made it a BMW Motorrad 1-2-3, by propelling the Bathams SMT Racing S1000RR BMW, to third fastest time.
Lee Johnston, East Coast Racing S1000RR BMW, was a more than creditable fourth fastest, as Peter Hickman fifth quickest, is bringing the JG Speedfit Kawasaki into contention for podium finishes or better.
Ian Hutchinson lead the Tyco BMW challenge in sixth whilst Gary Johnson Penz 13.com BMW, seventh fastest, is another potential podium finisher.
Honda Racing’s John McGuinness, 2013 lightweight TT winner James Hillier and Ryan Farquhar, rounded out the top ten quickest qualifiers.
Additional stand out performances included Didier Grams 12th fastest, Horst Saiger 16th quickest and Malachi Mitchell Thomas 20th, gelling more and more with the Triangle.
