Twice Junior Manx GP Champ Sweeney Hoping To Excel At TT 2019

Twice Junior Manx Grand Prix champion Michael Sweeney is hoping to excel at TT 2019, as the Skerries racer aims to build upon an already accomplished, impressive Mountain Course CV.

Runner up in last years Irish Road Race Supersport, Superbike championships, TT 2018 saw the hugely popular Irishman bank series of top draw results including 7th, 12th place finishes within the record breaking Bennetts Lightweight, Pokerstars Senior races.

Amongst a very select group of racers to have lapped the fabled, mythical Mountain Course at over the 126 mph lap mark, his machinery line up for TT 2019 sees him pilot BMW, YZF R6 Yamaha mounted for the RST Superbike, Monster Energy Supersport, Royal London 360 Superstock and Pokerstars Senior races.

As in recent years, the well respected, highly rated Sweeney enjoys title backing from Martin Jones Racing for the four stroke TT races, whilst the ultra competitive Bennetts Lightweight class sees him set to compete on Kiely Heating Racing’s ER6 Kawasaki.

Five times a top ten finisher, in total 13 times thus far a top 20 finisher, allied to four Manx GP podium finishes, including the aforementioned Junior class triumphs, Sweeney has showed on multiple occasions a deft, midas touch on the Mountain Course.

Expect him to continue to impress, consistently contend for more acclaimed, high calibre results, and be a prime contender for Privateers Championship success at TT 2019.
