Post the sun-drenched TT 2023 festival, twenty racers have now on at least one occasion, during their TT racing debuts, exceeded the 122-mph lap mark.
The latest to accomplish this feat is Jurby Airfield maestro, brother of Mountain Course newcomer last year Jamie Cringle, AGR Motorsports supported Ryan Cringle.
On the final lap of the second Royal London 360 Superstock race, the Manxman recorded a new PB lap speed of 126.096 mph.
This makes him now the fifth quickest TT newcomer in history.
The four fastest TT newcomers of all time remain Glenn Irwin (129.85 – 2022), Peter Hickman (129.104 – 2014), Davey Todd (128.379 – 2018), Josh Brookes (127.726 – 2013).
Wrapping up the current ten speediest TT first timers are future Senior race Champion, Steve Plater (125.808 – 2007), the late Simon Andrews (125.174 – 2011).
Keith Amor (124.856 – 2007), Horst Saiger (123.846 – 2013) and No.1 plate holder for the Supersport, 1000cc races across TT 2023, David Johnson (123.838 – 2010).
