Would we have luck today, would an afternoon practice session take place to allow racers to gain much needed track time, unfortunately as across recent days the answer was a resounding no.
Once again the mix of rain, low cloud, mist have put pay to any practice action this afternoon on the fabled, mythical Mountain Course.
You can’t but not feel sorry again for the event organisers, who have had everything weather wise thrown against them this week.
Speaking via Twitter about the abandonment of Saturday afternoon’s practice session, Clerk of The Course Gary Thompson MBE BEM, stated:
“Ok – weather has closed in significantly, rain is imminent. A further review at 4.00 PM, as their is a slim possibility we could get some bikes out this evening.”
All we can do now is keep our fingers crossed that timed practice takes place this evening, please, please, please weather give us all a break, the TT needs it, the organisers need it, the teams need it, the marshals need it, the racers need it.
