TT 2018: Smiths Racing Scoop Team Award

Peter Hickman’s record breaking Pokerstars Senior TT victory, not only provided employers Smiths Racing with a first big bike TT success, it also enabled them to scoop the prestigious team championship award.

Just five points clear in the final championship standings ahead of Silicone Engineering Racing, the family run Smiths team tumultuous TT 2018 tenure has established them in my opinion of being considered alongside the likes of Padgetts, TAS, Honda Racing, Hawk Racing as one of the best TT teams of the modern era.

Now three times TT winners, it’s worth noting that in the last two TT’s Peter Hickman on the outfit’s machines in every race he has completed, has secured at least a podium finish or better, wrapping up in total nine rostrum finishes from ten starts.
