By Further enhancing his reputation as very much a TT winner in the making, Smiths Racing’s Peter Hickman impressively cracked the 130 mph mark to surge to the top of tonight’s Superstock time sheets.
Hickman’s lap speed of 130.219 mph placed him over five seconds clear of second quickest and long time class pace setter Conor Cummins (129.584).
Tyco BMW’s Dan Kneen (128.843), Gulf BMW’s David Johnson (128.139) both showed sold, accomplished form in finishing third and fourth fastest, whilst Dean Harrison’s sole timed lap of 128.134 mph placed him fifth on the practice leader board.
Wrapping up the top ten on the practice leader board were Michael Dunlop (127.002), Ivan Lintin (126.821), Bathams SMT Racing’s Michael Rutter (126.192), Gary Johnson (125.939) and Hebden Bridge’s Jamie Coward (125.768).
Looking back on this evening’s Supersport practice it was Dafabet Devitt Racing’s Ivan Lintin (123.563) who headed the time sheets, as he proved again that he’s not just a specialist of Super Twins machinery.

Nearest challenger to twice Lightweight TT champion Lintin in first rate conditions around the Mountain Course was Jamie Coward (122.99), whilst reigning Irish road race Supersport champion Derek McGee third fastest impressed in touching the 123 mph mark.
Others to impress included fifth quickest Dominic Herbertson (121.854), Austria’s Julian Trummer (119.728), Team ILR’s next gen roads star Joe Thompson (119.532), Matt Rees (118.324) and leading Mountain Course newcomer Adam Lyon (119.476).
