It’s a case of the established old guard against the hungry new Sidecar stars emerging, as the three wheeling hero’s enjoyed an extremely positive early afternoon practice session at TT 2017.
The Birchall brothers, Ben & Tom, underlined their already golden prowess around the Mountain Course, by setting the second fastest time of practice week, lapping at 114.606 mph.
Silicone Engineering Racing’s John Holden/Lee Cain (112.942) where second fastest, Brian Gray Powerbiking backed Alan Founds/Jake Lowther (112.703) impressed finishing not far off their Honda powered competitors.
Alan’s brother Peter Founds partnered by Jevan Walmsley (110.882) was fourth quickest, whilst the Ramsden’s Steve and Matty, Lewis Blackstock/Patrick Rosney and Conrad Harrison/Andy Winkle, all impressed.
Additional outfit’s to show good form included Tony Baker/Fiona Baker Milligan, Germany’s Mike Roscher/Ben Hughes, Karl Bennett/Maxime Vasseur, Robert Handcock/Ken Edwards, Wayne Lockey/Mark Sayers, Gary Knight/Daniel Evanson and Australian duo Mick Alton/Chrissie Clancy.

Coming up later today, is another Sidecar practice session, as the three wheeling competitors aim to soak up more track time around the Mountain Course.
