Accomplishing one race win alone at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough, is an incredible achievement for any pure road racer but achieving 100 wins, is nothing short of extraordinary.

The Barry Sheene Road Race Festival of 2014 saw Ryan Farquhar, seven times Duke Road Race Rankings Champion add this remarkable achievement to his racing CV.

Farquhar’s 100th victory at Scarborough arose from the opening Geoff Barry Trophy race, which saw the three times TT winner take class honours by plus 24 seconds over nearest pursuer Paul Coward.

Harris Yamaha mounted in 2014, Farquhar went onto finish runner-up to reigning Senior TT Champion Dean Harrison, in the feature Barry Sheene Trophy race.

One of the all time greats at North Yorkshire’s ‘Mini TT’, the three times TT winner has you name it, achieved it.

2011 Gold Cup winner, four years successively Spring Cup winner, three years successively Cock O’The North feature race victor and the 100 race wins, I could go further and further. It’s not been a bad innings at Scarborough for the 21st century real roads great.
