Ivan Lintin’s Bennetts Lightweight race victory at TT 2015, was not only his first TT podium, first TT victory, it also marked the successful completion of International roads successes at the ‘Big Three’ roads events, the North West 200, Ulster Grand Prix and TT Races.
You could tell how much the achievement meant to Ivan on the rostrum, when holding aloft the immaculate Lightweight TT trophy in front of the capacity grandstand and the RC Express Racing team.
Following this momentous achievement, the following years TT Races saw the affable Lintin successfully defend the Lightweight class crown, holding off the persistent challenge as in 2015 of Bournemouth Kawasaki’s James Hillier.
Outside of Mountain Course competition, the formidable combination of Lintin and the RC Express Racing Kawasaki twin, has also yielded multiple victories at the Southern 100, North West 200 and at all Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough meetings.
Making a strong recovery from injuries sustained at last years Southern 100, ‘Lightning Lintin’ as he is nicknamed is showing as he has throughout his prodigious career true grit, true determination and no fear.
Although not racing this year for the RC Express Racing run Dafabet Devitt Racing team, he’s set to work again with the team in 2019, taking on an officially confirmed today, non racing role.
