By Overall third in last years IRRC Supersport series, leading French road racer Pierre Yves Bian is the next rider to take part in Road Racing News, ten questions challenge.
A race winner last year at Imatranajo and Chimay, his answers to the popular series of questions, are as follows:
Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?
“My favourite national roads meeting is Imatranajo in Finland! It’s special for me because I recorded my first IRRC rostrum finish there in 2016, plus last year at Imatra I secured my first class victory, and set a new Supersport track record.”
Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?
“My favourite racing bike is Yamaha’s TZ 250!”
Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?
“The speed, the liberty & sensations. I also like the down to earth nature of the people involved in the sport, no bling, bling with them, ha ha!”

Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?
“I’m a newcomer this year to the North West 200 & Ulster GP! But the TT is a dream, for the moment I’m not ready for compete at this Race. I want more experience in Road Racing before I go to the TT.”
Q5: Most Respected Rival?
“My most respected Rival in the IRRC Supersport class, is Marek Cerveny. Because when I started in road racing in 2015, he was the champion & he won a lot of races. He is a clean and fair racer, he’s going good at present in the IRRC Superbike class.”
Q6: Best roads moment thus far?
“My best moment was back in 2015, when competing at only the second roads event of my career at Chimay.
I started the opening race, from 6th place on the grid, I then went onto gain the race lead for 1 lap!!, I then thought what the f**k???? ha ha.”
Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?
“In France!! But road racing is not allowed in my country. It’s a pity.”
Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?
“My hero is Michael Dunlop. I spoke to him at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy last year, he is very passionate about his racing and I like his fighting spirit.”
Q9: Supersport or Superbike?
“Superbike, because I like a motorbike with big power. At present though I’ll stick with Supersport machinery, on the roads.”
Q10: Pole position or fastest lap?
“For me pole position! It shows you are fast & ready, to fight for first place in the race!”
