Eighth in last years Junior Classic TT, in contention for a podium finish in the following years three lap encounter, before technical issues struck, talented yesteryear machinery specialist Hefyn Owen is the next racer to take part in Road Racing News, worldwide popular ten questions challenge.
Son of fellow prominent Classic TT Races exponent Meredydd Owen, his answers to the popular series of questions are as follows:
Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?
“Aberdare Park, went back this year for the first time in a while and loved it.”
Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?
Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?
“The lines in the middle of the road, ha ha only joking! Being able to race around the Isle of Man as fast as we can with my Dad, uncle Bob and friends.”
Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?

“The legendary Meredydd Owen (Dad).”
Q6: Best roads moment thus far?
“Hopefully best moment is still to come. Aiming for a podium and had it in sight this year, being P4 in the Junior Classic TT until my Honda K4 throttle cable snapped.”
Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?
“Anglesey-Wales of course.”
Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?
“Mike Hailwood, but if I was allowed two, George Formby.”
Q9: Supersport or Superbike?
“Neither, classic bikes all the way.”
