By 250 race victor at Armoy, third within the 2018 Irish Road Race 250 championship, amongst the leading newcomers in August to the MCE Insurance Ulster Grand Prix, German roads stalwart Chris Meyer is the next racer to take part in Road Racing News worldwide popular, ten questions challenge.
Last month a multi race winner at Frohburger Dreieck, his answers to the popular series of questions are as follows:
Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?
“I was a newcomer this year everywhere I competed at, Cookstown, Tandragee, Armoy, Ulster GP, I can’t really decide a favourite but I would say best track is Tandragee, best event Armoy.”
Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?
“Honda RS125”
Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?
“The people, the great craic, lots of interested spectators.”
Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?
“Never done the first two ones (TT/North West 200), but loved the Ulster GP this year apart from the weather.”
Q5: Most Respected Rival?
“Derek McGee”
Q6: Best roads moment thus far?
“Getting into the flow on race day at Tandragee.”
Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?
“Would love to see more road races in Germany, but know it’s impossible.”
Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?
“William Dunlop #6.”
Q9: Supersport or Superbike?
“No idea, sorry only wee bike (Two strokes) rider only.”
Q10: Pole position or fastest lap?
“First pole, then fastest lap in the race!”
