The first rider to take part in Road Racing News, new ten questions challenge, is 2017 Senior Manx GP runner up Barry Evans.
Barry’s in depth answers are as follows:
Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?
“Cookstown 100 – This was my first Irish road race, loved it, fast, bumpy and narrow.”
Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?
“Has to be a Suzuki GSXR 750 (PRF Racing Senior Manx GP bike).”
Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?
“For me its the complete experience, the whole atmosphere, its buzzing to be a part of a road racing grid, pure insanity at times.”
Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?
“TT, having been an annual family holiday since I can remember the TT is something else, maybe I’ll have a crack at it soon!.”
Q5: Most respected rival?
“Darren Cooper, having competed at various road races against each other for three years, both newcomers at the Manx GP in 2015 and both on the podium. This year we stood on the podium together again, he won the lightweight Manx GP, top bloke, top grafter.”
Q6: Best roads moment thus far?
“Standing in second place on the Manx GP Senior race podium having lapped the Mountain Course at an average speed of 122.344 mph making me the second fastest man ever in Manx GP history, that was a good day.”
Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?
“Anglesey – North Wales, there was once talk of an Anglesey TT, Still Waiting!”
Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?
“Joey Dunlop, his 26 TT wins, he could win on any bike, whatever the conditions.”
Q9: Supersport or Superbike?
“Superbike – A wheelie mad 200 plus BHP (Break Horsepower) missile, hang on tight.”
Q10: Pole position or fastest lap?
“Fastest Lap – To be the fastest ever, it has to be.”
