A top six finisher last year at the Ulster Grand Prix, Tandragee 100 and East Coast Racing Festival, recently eighth in the Newcomers A Manx Grand Prix, seasoned roads exponent Andy McAllister is the next racer to take part in Road Racing News, worldwide popular ten questions challenge.
Andy’s answers to the popular series of questions, are as follows:
Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?
“Favourite national roads meeting was the Dundrod 150, now it would be Tandragee.”
Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?
“Favourite racing bike would the RC30 Honda.”
Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?
“Best part of road racing is the sheer adrenaline you gain from having to get everything, everywhere right. Plus the purity of racing between the hedges.”

Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?
“Ermm, I’d definitely have said the Ulster GP until now, now it’s the TT/Manx GP.”
Q5: Most Respected Rival?
“Most respected rival is anyone I am on the road with. There’s not many mad people who would do it.”
Q6: Best roads moment thus far?
“Best moment so far is racing over the Mountain Course, talk about goosebumps!”
Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?
“Road race meeting held in the Highlands, good whiskey over there!”
Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?
“Road racing hero is our local Sam McClements. Joey (Dunlop) is standing beside him tho.”
Q9: Supersport or Superbike?
“Supersport for the craic, because you can give it the beans.”
Q10: Pole position or fastest lap?
“Fastest lap always, your moving for the win. Pole means your lucky for the first couple of hundred yards. Then it’s anyone’s.”
