Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?

“Oliver’s Mount for the track, flowers and trees, Cookstown for the friendship and Chimay for the better, chips and Belgian people!!”

Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?

“Honda 6. But I will never race one!!! But I sometimes ride on an old BMW and this is really my favourite bike for road racing!”

Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?

“When I have a kiss off my wife, a smile off my son, my daughter sat on my bike’s tank and my friend Nicolas Pautet on his bike to come back to our awnings.”

Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?

“Only TT or short road racing circuits. I don’t like to fight with other riders, I just want to ride as fast as I know.

I think at the North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix, you have a lot of sensation, but everything is not of your own control, and at this speed I’m not ok to put my life in other hands than mine.”

Q5: Most Respected Rival?

“I don’t have a rival because I’m not in a race. There is just friends and other riders who are not, but this is just because we never have had a talk together!!!

I don’t want to beat other guys. I just want to fight with myself, the time, and the track. I have a lot of respect for all of the riders because I’m sure that everyone did their best, and it doesn’t matter if you are on the podium or last when you’ve done everything to race.”

Q6: Best roads moment thus far?

“My first race on the Isle of Man, Mountain Course. It was my dream to compete there when I was a child.”

Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?

“Yes, in a very sunny place!!! I always come to the races with my family, and it’s were we spend all of our holidays, and my wife dreams to swim into the sea, to sleep into the sun, and as you know, Ireland and Isle of Man are very nice places for a lot of things, but not for this.”

Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?

“All of the Dunlop family. Different people, but I love each one for each difference.”

Q9: Supersport or Superbike?

“Supersport, because I only have a 600! But I put money into the bank for 4 years, and I hope I can buy a 1000 bike soon, just for the power and wheeling, because I think I will never understand how those evil machines works!!!”

Q10: Pole position or fastest lap?

“Either. Just one lap which can give you a smile.”
