More Team ILR themed news today, featuring three racers with varied pure road racing pedigrees.
Firstly, remaining with Ian Lougher’s outfit for a third TT campaign is Masayuki Yamanaka.
Japan’s first Manx GP rostrum finisher in history, will be at the controls of ER6, ZX-6 Kawasaki machinery.
Joining him, Francesco Curinga, Stefano Bonetti to form a four-strong ILR challenge on TT 2023 is current Irish road race Superbike Champion Michael Sweeney.
Sweeney like new team-mates Curinga, Bonetti is S1-R Paton mounted for the Super Twins race stints.
The 2019 Duke Road Race Rankings Champion, is also confirmed to be Paton powered at events including the Tandragee 100, North West 200, Skerries and Southern 100.
Final 2023 Team ILR roads squad member alongside aforementioned racers plus Maurizio Bottalico, Victor Lopez Santos, Joe Yeardsley is Ulster Super Twins Championship winner Ryan Gibson.
Gibson’s new deal with the Mark Coverdale backed outfit, sees him North West 200 bound, racing a R6 Yamaha steed.
Running in total eight riders across this season, busy times are ahead for Team ILR, who’s road racing challenge gets underway in sub three months-time at Oliver’s Mount.
