Following last July’s Open Trophy meeting, no less than 27 racers have now lapped below 1 minute 40 seconds at Belgium’s most famous active, roads course, Circuit De Chimay.
2016 IRRC Superbike Champion, Vincent Lonbois continues to carry the distinction as outright speediest of modern times.
Lonbois best time, was set during the opening IRRC Superbike encounter in 2018, lapping at 1:36.836 seconds.
Runner-up from the above-mentioned race, the UK’s first IRRC series Champion Danny Webb is only 0.027 of a second slower than Belgian roads great Lonbois at Chimay, having registered on his circuit debut an ultra-impressive lap time of 1 minute 36.863 seconds.
Finalising the ten quickest racers from recent years at Circuit De Chimay, are as follows:
Sebastien Le Grelle (1.36.957), IRRC wins record-holder Didier Grams (1.37.787), David Datzer (1.38.069), current IRRC SBK Champion Lukas Maurer (1.38.102).
Milwaukee BMW’s Davey Todd (1.38.254), Swedish ace Markus Karlsson (1.38.262), 2022 Macau Grand Prix winner Erno Kostamo (1.38.302) and Nigel Walraven (1.38.422).
