In recent years super twin races have become extremely popular with road racing fans across the world and at Oliver’s Mount.
Last year around the mount saw Ivan Lintin secure multiple victories in the hugely competitive class. The reigning Steve Henshaw international gold cup winner is set to compete on RC Express racing’s ER6 Kawasaki at the spring cup.
Amongst multiple riders capable of challenging Ivan include 2014 Duke road race rankings champion James Cowton.
For this season in super twins class James is competing on a top spec ER6 Kawasaki for Danny Tomlinson racing which is backed as well by Stewart Smith racing.
Having enjoyed the best season of his career to date in 2014 James goes into the Spring Cup National Road Races now established as amongst the best pure road racers in the world.
Three times Isle of Man TT winner and Oliver’s Mount legend Ryan Farquhar is set to compete on his own teams ER6 Kawasaki in super twin races at the spring cup.
Last year’s spring cup saw Ryan clinch back to back second place finishes in super twin races, the seven times Duke road race rankings champion will be amongst the favourites for race victories.
2014 junior Manx Grand Prix winner Andy Lawson goes into the spring cup a dark horse for top three finishes in super twin’s class.
Andy is all set to compete on Shirlaws motorcycles backed ER6 Kawasaki which he will be competing on in this year’s lightweight TT.
Jamie Coward, Rad Hughes, Sam Johnson, Paul Gartland all have the talent, ability, determination to push for standout results as does Adrian Harrison.
Adrian 14th place finisher in 2014 lightweight TT has developed in the last two years into a super twins specialist. 2014 Southern 100 saw him clinch third place finish in second super twins race. For the spring cup he will be competing on Printing roller services backed ER6 Kawasaki.
Oliver’s Mount newcomer Ben Rea could well spring a surprise or two on CMS racing Kawasaki. Ben who holds start number 40 for this year’s lightweight TT is greatly looking forward to making his debut around the iconic road race circuit.
Fellow newcomer around the mount Dan Hegarty is tipped to adapt quickly as he competes on Brian Scott racing’s ER6 Kawasaki.
B&W racing’s Gareth Keys begins his 2015 road racing season at the spring cup. Gareth is amongst the most improved pure road racers in recent years, the 2013 250 Ulster Grand Prix winner is set to push for top class results around the mount as is Keith Pringle.
Sixth place finisher in 2013 Steve Henshaw international gold cup Keith has over the years recorded many a high quality result around Oliver’s Mount. Which includes third place finish in feature race at the spring cup in 2012 plus fifth position in 2011 Steve Henshaw international gold cup.
Jack Hunter, Mick Goodings, Jamie Hodson, Sam Johnson, Adam Child and Eric Lenser add further quality to an enterprising entry list for super twin races at the spring cup.
Two time junior Manx Grand Prix Michael Sweeney, Joe Broomfield, James Tadman and Stuart Bedford all confirmed to make their Oliver’s Mount debut’s as is Alan Bonner 2010 Irish road race senior support championship winner.
The 2015 Spring Cup National Road Races will mark the first action of the year in super twins class in pure road racing.
