Monday afternoon Southern 100 news burst, centring on renewed title backing from long-term meeting sponsors, the IOM Steam Packet Company.
A new three-year deal running till 2028, ensures a five-decade sponsorship relationship (dating back to 1987) between the ‘Friendly Races’ and the Isle of Man’s chief ferry travel company (celebrates in 2030 its’ 200th Birthday), continues in earnest.
Issuing his reaction to the news, George Peach, Southern 100 Racing Chairman, stated:
“We are absolutely delighted to extend our partnership with the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company through to 2028.
Their continued support is invaluable to the Southern 100, not only in terms of sponsorship, but in the practical assistance they provide behind the scenes.
This agreement ensures we can continue to deliver the high standards expected by competitors, marshals and spectators alike.”
Quick reminder, 2026 S100 competition runs from the 6th-9th of July. Recent confirmed entrants include 2022, 2024 and 2025 Solo Champion Davey Todd (fitness permitting), Conor Cummins, Motor Isle Billown Course first-timer Franco Bourne, Grant Thomson, Paul Cassidy, three wheeling ‘King Pins’ the Crowe brothers Ryan & Callum.
