By Michael Dunlop took race victory in the opening 600 race of race week at the Southern 100 finishing 1 second ahead of Conor Cummins with Ian Lougher taking third place. James Coward took fourth place with Michael Pearson taking fifth place with circuit newcomer Dean Harrison taking sixth place on the Ian Bell Motorcycles Yamaha R6.
Ryan Farquhar took race victory in the 650 mini-twins class just ahead of his protege and team mate in the KMR Kawasaki team Jamie Hamilton who also set a new lap record highly impressive considering he is a newcomer to the Southern 100 circuit. Ivan Lintin took third overall in the class with Russ Mountford taking fourth place.
