Southern 100 – solo championship news

Michael Dunlop took race victory in the blue riband race of the Southern 100 race meeting in the Isle of Man. Michael with winning also made it five wins in a week and also winning back to back Southern 100 solo championships for two successive years. Plus the lap record for the circuit was broke again by Michael in this race by lapping now at 113.5 mph. Guy Martin took second place although around 5 seconds behind he did lead the first three laps before Michael Dunlop broke clear at the front. 3rd place went to Conor Cummins with Ryan Farquhar taking 4th place.

Ian Lougher finished in 5th position with Dean Harrison taking 6th place on his Kawasaki with Lee Vernon finishing in a good 7th place after a good battle with Jamie Hamilton on the second KMR Kawasaki. 8th place went to Michael Pearson and all in all its being a top meeting for the Southern 100 next road race on is the Walderstown road races in Northern Ireland.
