Southern 100 – Deano On Top In Supersport Race Two

Dean Harrison made up for the disappointment of opening supersport race, by securing supersport race two victory at the 2015 Southern 100.

Dean piloting the Mar Train Racing YZF R6 Yamaha showcased his immense real road racing talent around Billown, as he set a new supersport 600 lap record on his way to a well deserved race victory.

Ivan Lintin finished a fine second, competing on RC Express Racing’s ZX6R Kawasaki Ivan produced another highly accomplished and top class all round display.

Dan Kneen and the Valvoline Racing by Padgetts Motorcycles CBR 600 Honda secured third place finish, reigning Irish road race superbike champion Dan made it back to back podium finishes in supersport races at the friendly races.

2014 Duke road race rankings champion James Cowton recorded fourth place finish, James competing on his own teams Honda showed high quality form as did Seamus Elliott.

Supersport 600 race 1 winner Seamus continued his fine form around Billown with top five placing, whilst Russ Mountford battled away on Silicone Engineering Racing 675 Daytona Triumph to finish a highly creditable sixth.

Martin Bullock Manxsport’s Billy Redmayne finished an excellent seventh, Joe Newbould impressed in eighth, PRF Racing’s Rob Hodson was ninth as Andrew Dudgeon finalised the top ten finishers.

It’s been a challenging week at the 2015 Southern 100 for 2014 lightweight TT winner Dean Harrison.

Despite this he has kept the self belief and confidence up, his victory today is his second during 2015 with the factory Yamaha backed Mar Train Racing team.
