Jonathan Howarth’s Tremendous Southern 100 Debut

Jonathan Howarth made a tremendous debut around Billown at the 2015 Southern 100.

Competing on Danny Tomlinson Racing Honda’s Jonathan gelled quickly with the iconic road race circuit, senior race saw the highly accomplished rider secure 15th place finish as he finished leading newcomer.


Supersport 600 b race would see CBR 600 Honda mounted Jonathan clinch his first podium finish around Billown, as he finished a superb second following a high quality display.

Blue riband race of the meeting the Southern 100 solo championship, would prove to be highly productive for the rider who has competed twice at TT Races.

Piloting the DTR CBR 1000 Honda Fireblade he went onto secure more than creditable 11th place finish, as in senior race Jonathan once again finished leading newcomer.

Senior support race would be the undoubted highlight of the meeting for Jonathan, following an ultra determined, highly accomplished performance he secured race victory.

Having previously competed at the Isle of Man TT and North West 200, Jonathan had a strong amount of pure road racing experience going into making his Southern 100 debut.


With senior support race victory, second place finish in supersport 600 b race, 11th place finish in solo championship, he made overall an eye catching debut at the Castletown based road race.

Next roads meeting on the horizon for Jonathan is the world’s fastest race between the hedges, the Ulster Grand Prix.
