James Cowton had a solid start to 2014 Southern 100 with seventh place finish in opening 600/1000 race. James competing on a CBR 1000 Honda Fireblade backed by SJP moto rode a calm and measured race, highlight of the evening at Billown last night for third place finisher in 2014 lightweight TT was being quickest in third super twin practice session with lap speed of 101.992 mph.
James finished sixth fastest in third supersport practice, its set to be a busy day at Billown for the rising road racing star with senior race, supersport race 1 and opening super twin all coming up.
