Unfortunately as with various national road races, the TT Races, Southern 100, Pre/Post TT Races, the ongoing Coronavirus situation worldwide has forced the abandonment of one of Ireland’s most iconic roads events, the Skerries 100.
Confirmation of Skerries dropping off the 2020 roads calendar was provided via Facebook by event organisers Loughshinny Motorcycle Supporters Club, who released the following statement:

“Following confirmation from our governing body Motorcycling Ireland (SC), advising that “all events are cancelled” “for the foreseeable future”. We have taken the decision to cancel the Skerries 100 in 2020.
Loughshinny Motorcycle Supporters Club acknowledge it takes a huge effort from many individuals and groups to organise and run our event. Our local community and the wider road race community are our biggest concern at this difficult time.
In both communities, we have people that come from all walks of life, people who could in the coming weeks, be working on the front line or indeed have their lives severely impacted due to this current crisis. Our thoughts are with you all.
We thank everyone that made the 2019 Country Crest Skerries 100 such a success and we look forward to your continued support, working with us to make the 75th anniversary Skerries 100 in 2021 even bigger and better.
Loughshinny Motorcycle Supporters Club Committee”
