Sidecar TT great Dan Sayle is the latest notable entrant confirmed for this May/June’s Pre TT Classic, Post TT meetings at Billown, as the Manxman makes a popular return to closed roads competition.
Seriously injured following an incident at Ballaspur during last August’s Lightweight Classic TT race, the Manx roads legend has shown fierce determination, courage and some and heroism a plenty since, in his bid to get back to race fitness.
Eight times a Sidecar TT winner, the hugely respected racer who’s stellar racing CV also includes Ultra Lightweight Manx GP success in 2016, is hugely looking forward to tackling Yamaha machinery at the Pre TT Classic and Post TT events, which have already combined attracted well in excess of 200 plus entrants.
Commenting about his upcoming ventures on the iconic Billown course, the affable Sayle stated:
“I am counting the days until I will be back on the gird at Billown for the Pre-TT Classic Races.
It has been a long haul since last August, but my determination never deserted me, even at my lowest point to race again and now that I have been discharged from Nobles.
I am getting back into a training routine to ensure I am fully fit for May.”
