Schleizer Dreieck, Imatranajo Removed From 2026 IRRC Calendar

As of today, the 21st of January, IRRC (International Road Racing Championship) competitors, 2026 calendar looks’ significantly different.

Schleizer Dreieck, Nordic nation’s top roads meeting Imatranajo, both will now not be hosting IRRC Supersport/Sportbike races.

Reasons for this, were-outlined in a recent update from IRRC organisers.

“Imatra – The Finnish federation has decided not to include this event in the Finnish national calendar for 2026.

As a result, the race will no longer be supported by the federation and our riders’ licences would not be valid for this event. Unfortunately, this leaves us no option but to cancel the Imatra round.

Schleiz – The event organiser has unexpectedly terminated the cooperation unilaterally, without prior consultation. We regret that this long-standing collaboration has come to an end in this manner.

With these changes, the IRRC championship currently consists of four races.”

The statement went onto add:

“We are actively working to add a fifth round on 13–14 June 2026. A final decision is expected by the end of this week.

Due to the revised calendar, the entry fee may be adjusted. We will provide further updates in the coming days.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the IRRC.”

Schleizer Dreieck Update:

The previously announced IRRC Schleiz dates (12th-14th June clashes with Julbach Hill Climb) will still be used, with a new look event taking place at Germany’s longest running street circuit, focusing instead on International Sidecar Trophy, German Twin Trophy, HR Cup, Classics and Open Superbike / Supersport races.

Events also planned during the same weekend in the middle of June, include the Jicin Road Races in the Czech Republic, ‘Championnat de France de la Montagne’ hill-climb round at Marchaux and 4EVO Young Trophy (Grand Trophee des Frontieres) at Circuit de Chimay.

As Czech roads statistician, historian extraordinaire Jan Vavra states, enjoy all racing across the new season because you do not know when the next change will arrive.

Insurance, the claim, claim culture worldwide, the FIM’s coldness towards pure road racing are hampering the sport but its’ a great survivor and one that does not back down in the face of adversity.
