IRRC Horice – Najman Wins Intense Supersport Bout

Intense heat, intense competition, Sunday’s opening ten-lap IRRC Horice – Supersport race was not short of gripping, clean, captivating battles.

A race-long duel for P1 laurels between Petr Najman (main article image from Circuit De Chimay) and Marek Cerveny, culminated with race pole-sitter Najman keeping his cool, to finish first by 0.504 of a second.

Najman’s latest IRRC success cuts fellow Czech racer Cerveny’s Supersport Championship-lead to twelve points.

Aside the top two, Mauro Poncini was the only other racer lapping in the 2.15’s bracket.

The Performance Racing Achterhoek rider had reeled in TME Racing’s Matej Vit but could not find a way through as Vit made it an-all Czech rostrum.

Poncini’s team-mate Ilja Caljouw took fifth behind him, Wolfgang ‘Wolfi’ Schuster illustrated again his Czech roads circuits craft, taking sixth.

IRRC Sportbike Championship leader Jamie Williams placed tenth with fellow UK/IOM competitors Mike Mace, Brian Fuidge, eleventh, twenty-second, respectively.
