Darlington’s Stephen Degnan has disclosed his 2024 racing plans which mix national purpose-built circuit racing outings with Oliver’s Mount and Irish road racing challenges.
Affectionately known to many as ‘Degsy’, he has pencilled in outings at Scarborough, April’s Bob Smith Spring Cup, the Barry Sheene Classic, the Cock O’The North and the big one of each Oliver’s Mount racing season, the Steve Henshaw Gold Cup.
Irish roads wise, he is targeting the Cookstown 100, Armoy ‘Race of Legends’ and Briggs Northwest 200.
Alongside aforementioned ‘between the hedges’ competition, additional racing itinerary includes selected Darley Moor meets, and funding permitting Kirkistown, Bishopscourt events.
Looking ahead to this season, ‘Degsy’ who is piloting again his trusty ZX-10RR, ZX-636R Kawasaki mounts, stated:
“I had a difficult season last year after breaking my hands at the Northwest 200 in May.
My aim as always is to qualify for A finals but if not to finish at the front of the B finals.”
