Embarking upon his third Manx Grand Prix appearance, Sam Johnson is aiming to move up a level around the Mountain Course and push for top quality results in the junior and senior races.
His mount for the 2016 Manx GP is a YZF R6 Yamaha backed by JK Construction.
He is also racing in the junior classic TT, on a 350 Honda backed again by JK Construction, with additional backing from Avon Tyres.

Main highlights of Sam’s 2016 roads season to date include top 15 finishes in the senior support races at the Mid Antrim 150, Tandragee 100 and Cookstown 100.
By the end of the season Sam is aiming to secure a top five finish overall, in this year’s Irish road race senior support championship.
Most recently he was in action at the Kells Road Races, which was called off on Sunday, due to adverse weather conditions.
Commenting on his Irish roads season to date and the upcoming Manx Grand Prix, Sam said:
“I know where I want to be in both but I will just keep chipping away in Ireland cutting my teeth as such and see where we end up!
The times in Ireland against riders who have done well at the Manx in the past shows promising signs but don’t want to call anything just yet!
Gutted I had to miss a couple of Oliver’s mounts as they clashed with Irish stuff but that and the Manx are my priority this year. But will definitely be at the gold cup!
Next up for me is Skerries, then Faugheen and Walderstown. Then Armoy and the Ulster GP, then the Manx GP.”
