The 2014 road racing season proved to be a quite incredible one for James Cowton. Main highlights included Dundrod 150 challenge and lightweight victories, lightweight Ulster Grand Prix victory, supersport race wins at Barry Sheene road race festival plus top three finishes at North West 200, Southern 100 and Scarborough gold cup.
But the main highlight this year for James was winning the 2014 Duke road race rankings championship. He is only the fifth different winner of the prestigious championship which first began in 2002.
On the mountain course at TT 2014 the rider tipped to become soon a TT winner secured his first podium finish at the worlds most famous road race in lightweight TT finishing in third place.
Highly creditable results where achieved in opening supersport and superstock races which included in superstock race lapping close to the 125 mph bracket.
Confirmed with Danny Tomlinson racing for next season expectations are high that James can add to his already superb record in road racing which now includes becoming 2014 Duke road race rankings champion.
