Building towards next month’s Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship season opener at Oulton Park, 2016 Newcomers A Manx GP runner-up Julian Trummer was in fine form during this weekend’s WSB Sport Race Events meet in Slovakia.
R1 Yamaha mounted Trummer, in spite of feeling the effects of a shoulder injury sustained from an incident at the BMCRC-MRO Championship Oulton Park round, proved his 1000 machinery credentials around the flowing Slovakia Ring circuit.
Runner-up in the opening 1000cc race, today’s eight lap race stint saw the Austrian roads star take in style victory spoils.
17 seconds ahead of nearest challenger Andreas Gangl, Trummer is hoping to in just over two months time, become the latest rising International roads talent to tackle the returning Armoy Road Races.
Pending all going to plan, Trummer will lead WH Racing’s challenge at Armoy, which reminder takes place from the 30th-31st July.
