The opening British Superbike Championship testing event of 2023, at Circuit De Navarra in Spain featured a selection of international road racing’s foremost talents.
Back in the PBM (Paul Bird Motorsport) fold this year, North West 200 great Glenn Irwin looked quickly at home aboard V4R Panigale Ducati machinery, ending the three-day test with a best lap time of 1 minute 38.638 seconds.
DAO Racing’s Dean Harrison completed exactly the same number of timed laps, as overall third fastest Irwin, completing in total 139 laps.
OMG Racing’s James Hillier, still to be officially confirmed for TT 2023, completed fifteen more laps than Harrison and Irwin, (154 laps).
In terms of National Superstock 1000 Champion, Southern 100 Solo Championship winner Davey Todd, he made solid, consistent progress throughout the weekend into Monday, step by step getting more at one with the BSB spec Milenco by Padgetts Honda.
Podcast host, fans favourite, Classic TT winner Dominic Herbertson was also on testing duties.
Piloting the Belgrave Motors Racing BMW, the multiple Pre-TT Classic race winner, recorded only 28 timed laps.
